Blood, booze and blunders abound in the latest “vio-lit” from Ben Fernwey.
Two hapless rogues traipse through this Samurai Western in search of loot, booze and a missing hat. The land is unforgiving, but so are the men that inhabit it in this tale of ronin too dumb or drunk to stop. Whether its bandits, the law, or a shogunate war erupting around them, these two can’t seem to find a break. Unless you consider bones. There are plenty of broken bones in this here novella that’s one part irreverent, one part violent and all of it a little strange.
